Hailing from Sussex, James studied at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he sang as an Academical Clerk in the College Choir; at Trinity College of Music and on the Opera Course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, graduating in 2008. While at college James won numerous scholarships and competitions, including the Morag Noble Award, the Catto Scholarship and the Principal’s Award for the outstanding student performance of the year.

London-born Adrian Thompson is an artist of extraordinary versatility with a wide-ranging opera, concert and recital repertoire of works from the renaissance to the present day. He trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he is now a professor of vocal studies.

Adrian trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, both as an undergraduate and postgraduate on the Opera Course. A winner of the Royal Over-Seas League Singers Prize, in 2007 he was selected for representation by Young Concert Artist Trust. During this time he was an Independent Opera Fellowship Award winner, a Susan Chilcott Scholar and a finalist in both the Richard Tauber and Kathleen Ferrier competitions.

Winner of the Emmy Destinn Award for Young Singers and a graduate of Durham University, Michael Bracegirdle first qualified as a Chartered Accountant and went on to work as a Finance Director in industry.  In 2003 he gave up his business career to further his vocal studies at the Royal Northern College of Music.

As a prize winner at the Opera Competition and Festival with Mezzo Television, Hungary, he made his New York opera début as Judge Danforth in The Crucible with Dicapo Opera Theatre, a performance he repeated at the National Theatre, Szeged.

Born in Liverpool, Nicholas Mulroy read Modern Languages at Clare College Cambridge and then studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He has since sung at many of the world’s great concert halls and festivals, including the Sydney Opera House, Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, the BBC Proms, and the Salzburg Festival. In November 2020, he was also appointed Associate Director of the Dunedin Consort, the first in the group’s history.

Nicholas Hurndall Smith studied music whilst organ scholar at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, before training as a singer at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under David Pollard, supported by The Leverhulme Trust.

Bradley graduated from St John’s College, Cambridge, and obtained his Masters with Distinction at the Royal Academy of Music where he then continued his studies with Ryland Davies and Audrey Hyland on their prestigious opera course for two further years. While at the Academy he was a
prize-winning finalist in the Joan Chissel Prize for Schumann Lieder, winner of the Blythe-Buesst Aria Prize, winner of the Tom Hammond Opera Prize, and he was awarded a dipRAM
for his Final Recital.

Born in West Sussex, Nick Pritchard sang in the choir of New College, Oxford, and studied singing at The Royal College of Music International Opera School, London.

Nathan Vale studied with Roland Davies at the Royal College of Music and the Benjamin Britten International Opera School. He was awarded an Independent Opera Scholarship to the National Opera Studio, where he was supported by English National Opera, the Nicholas John Trust and the Elmley Foundation. 

Benjamin Clark is a tenor and conductor. He studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where he was the Morag Noble scholar, and was previously the Leverhulme Arts Scholar and the Linda Pilgrim Charitable Trust Scholar. He previously studied music and German in Durham, Vienna and at King’s College, London.
