Martyn is much in demand as a freelance musician having spent over 10 years working at HM Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, both as Sub-Organist and (Acting) Director of Music. Roles that included playing/conducting for Classic FM’s annual broadcast of Carols from Buckingham Palace and performing and assisting in music for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and The Coronation of King Charles III.

Ben is a London-based freelance pianist, organist, and teacher. He holds the post of Director of Music and Organist at St Mary’s, Barnes, and is studying on a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music for a Masters’ degree in Collaborative Piano, under the tutelage of Joesph Middleton and Michael Dussek. He is active as an accompanist, having performed across London and beyond with ensembles including the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the St Martin’s Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra of the London Choral Sinfonia. 

Ben Collyer  is Organist at St John’s, Hyde Park. He began his musical education at the age of 7 as a treble in his local church choir in Stockport. When he was 16, he began studies at Chetham’s School of Music, where he studied the Organ with Christopher Stokes and the piano with Graham Caskie. At Chetham’s he performed regularly with Manchester Chamber Choir and Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra, and with visiting conductors Jac Van Steen, Paul McCreash and John Rutter. In 2017, Ben was awarded his ARCO diploma from the Royal College of Organists.

A church musician since chorister days at parish and cathedral in Salisbury, Jonathan Lilley trained at the Royal Academy of Music as an organ pupil of Nicholas Danby.  Whilst still a first-year student he held the organ scholarship at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists.

Richard Pearce was organ scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, where as conductor and organist he toured and recorded extensively with the chapel choir. After graduating with first class honours in music, he studied piano accompaniment for two years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Stephen Disley studied organ at Liverpool Cathedral with Ian Tracey before winning a joint Foundation Scholarship to the Royal College of Music and London’s Temple Church, studying with Dr John Birch. He won many prizes and awards, studied further under Daniel Roth at Saint-Sulpice in Paris and has performed in prestigious masterclasses. 

Peter Barley has enjoyed a varied career as organist, conductor and teacher, with a particular emphasis on sacred music. He was until recently Organist and Master of the Choristers at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin where for eight years he was responsible for a busy music programme and for directing the cathedral choir on a daily basis.  Prior to his arrival in Dublin he worked for more than a decade as a freelance musician in London, where he was based at St Marylebone Church as Director of Music.

David Williams is the Head of Piano and Chapel Organist of Tonbridge School. During his time at the Royal College of Music he was a member of the choir of St Michael’s, Cornhill, a repetiteur for the Royal Ballet and an accompanist for several singers and string players in particular. These activities formed what became for him a future in the field of Church music and piano accompanying, both of which he now practises continually.

James McVinnie pursues a diverse career as an organist, keyboardist, ensemble player and teacher. He was until recently Assistant Organist of Westminster Abbey, where he played for regular services as well as directing the Abbey Choir. Whilst at the Abbey he also played at many great State occasions, including the recent Royal Wedding. He held Organ Scholarships at St Albans Cathedral, and Clare College, Cambridge (where he studied music). In 2006 he became Organ Scholar and then in 2007 Acting Sub-Organist of St Paul’s Cathedral.
