Bethany Partridge


Bethany Partridge is a freelance soprano currently based in London. She sings with a number of the finest professional choirs as well as enjoying various solo performances. Bethany graduated from Trinity College Cambridge where she was an academic and choral scholar. In 2015-2016 she was a member of the inaugural Fellowship Octet of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and she is currently an Associate Artist with professional choir, Tenebrae (Nigel Short). Bethany was a choral scholar at St Martin-in-the-Fields during her first year of working as a professional singer and now returns to sing with their professional ensemble, St Martin’s Voices. Bethany is a founding member of Amici Voices, a baroque vocal ensemble who specialise in one-per-part performances of works by Bach. With Amici Voices Bethany has performed in Slovakia, and at the London Bach Festival in St George’s Hanover Square.

Bethany enjoys performing as a soloist, and recent performances include Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle (Musicanti, Paris), Filia in Carissimi’s Jephte (Ensemble Vocale de Pontoise, Paris), Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate, Handel’s Messiah, Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Mozart’s Mass in C minor, and Bach’s St Matthew Passion, St John Passion and the Weihnachts-Oratorium. Operatic roles have included Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia, Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Second Boy in The Magic Flute. Bethany is also a keen recitalist and has recently given solo recitals in Cambridge and Witney on the themes of birdsong and Shakespeare.
